Deci....? -salut-

The figures provided by the Daily Mail are accurate in this instance although the tone of the article isnt helpful. In the year ending June 07 there were a cumulative total of 3.05 million visits to the UK by A12 nationals, and 210,000 of these visits were from Romanians or Bulgarians. These are travel and tourism statistics however, and so include many repeat trips. They are not immigration stats.

For the same period - year ending June 07 - Brits made a cumulative 54.7million visits to the Europe. 430,000 of these visits were to Romania and Bulgaria, so twice as many trips were made by Brits to the A2 nations as were made by A2 nationals to the UK.

UK -Bulgarian and Romanian migrant statistics

The Home Office released statistics in 21 August 2007 on the number of Bulgaria and Romanian workers registered to work in the United Kingdom. O:O

Between April and June of this year, 3,990 Bulgarian and Romanian nationals were granted access to the labor market, down 21 percent from the 5,075 that were granted access in the first quarter of 2007. -puke-

The figures included those registered as self-employed and self-sufficient. An additional 3,980 were issued permits for the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme (SAWS). -wave-

The Home Office said that Bulgarians and Romanians were "contributing to the success of the economy and working in business, financial services, as researchers and in the entertainment and leisure industry." -finger- -finger-

    Articol interesant!

A se citi pana la sfarsit!

Number of migrant workers from Bulgaria and Romania falls by 21% in quarterly statistics
    22 August 2007 10:10

Almost 4,000 workers from Bulgaria and Romania were granted access to work in the UK between April and June 2007, official Home Office figures have shown.

The Bulgarian and Romanian Accession Statistics 2nd Quarter 2007 show 3,990 workers from the two new EU states were granted access to work for employers – a drop of 21% from the 5,075 granted in the first quarter of the year.

Overall, 9,335 Bulgarian and Romanian nationals had their applications granted. This includes those registering as self-employed and self-sufficient.

An additional 3,980 were issued cards for the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme, which allows farmers to bring in overseas labour.

Home Office minister Tony McNulty said: "It is too soon to evaluate the full impact of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the EU.

"Our indications are that the policy of restricting access to the UK's labour market is helping to ensure that only those who have something to offer the UK are allowed to work here."

HO a gresit cand a estimat in 2004 nr cetatenilor A8 care vor veni in UK,
a gresit in 2006 cand a blocat accesul cetatenilor A2 pe piata muncii,
va gresi si in octombrie-noiembrie cand nu va ridica restrictiile.. -finger-

Daca tot muncesti pt o facultate, mai bine o faci in orice alt domeniu.
    :)

A new points-based system for immigration is to be introduced in April, and the Home Office wants this to bed down before making a decision to open the doors to Romanian and Bulgarian workers, as Britain must do by 2012 at the latest. A fear of increasing pressures on local services is also understood to lie behind the Home Office's reluctance.

-violent-

Home Office shuts the door on Bulgaria and Romania

Tens of thousands of migrant workers from Romania and Bulgaria are to be blocked from working in Britain amid concerns that economic migration is placing new strains on public services.
The Observer can reveal that Home Office officials do not believe the doors should be opened to the two eastern European countries and will recommend that current EU restrictions should continue for at least another year.
Estimates of the number of Romanians and Bulgarians who would come to Britain if restrictions were lifted range between 40,000 and 300,000.

    mda,

va doresc mult succes si o zi buna!! -salut-
