British Romanian Chamber of Commerce – 10 years of activity on behalf of promoting and strengthening the traditional relationship between United Kingdom and Romania

British Romanian Chamber of Commerce – 10 years of activity on behalf of promoting and strengthening the traditional relationship between United Kingdom and RomaniaTo mark the significant milestone of its 10th anniversary, the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce organised a series of events under the heading “British Days in Romania, Romania Days in the UK”. The objective of this project was to reinforce the traditional British-Romanian business and cultural relationships.

British Days in Romania were launched through a press conference, during which the main BRCC achievements were highlighted, as well as the most recent developments in the trade and commercial relationship between UK and Romania.

British Days in Romania also included „Business Expertise” (June 17), a high-level conference which showcased best practice, good governance, leadership and social responsibility. A photo competition, “Looking at Romania, through rose tinted lenses” (June 17), and a Charity Gala Dinner (June 18) in support of the Princess Margareta of Romania Foundation, Associate member of BRCC, with special participation of HRH the Princess Margareta of Romania and HRH Prince Radu of Romania, completed the picture of an outstanding and comprehensive series of events, designated to celebrate 10 years of activity on behalf of the British-Romanian relationship.

The events were chaired by the Rt. Hon. Lord Lamont of Lerwick, President of BRCC, by Brian Davies, BRCC President and Anne-Marie Martin, BRCC CEO. Special guests and keynote speakers were HE Robin Barnett, British Ambassador in Romania, and HE Catalin Predoiu, Romanian Minister for Justice. BRCC Senior Board Members and key representatives of the BRCC member or associate companies attended, as well as public and private sector companies, Government and non-Government organisations and media.

"It was a pleasure to join in all of the events in Bucharest and London celebrating 10 years of the Chamber's activities in Romania and the UK. The last decade has seen a transformation of business in Romania as it has developed into a full, equal member of the EU", Brian Davies, BRCC President said.
